add.a.language to the world and your wardrobe!

Want to support SLE and receive a t-shirt that promotes language learning? Thanks to our pals at add.a.lingua now you can!

Add.a.lingua, which was established in 2009, is dedicated to providing dual language immersion learning in nearly two dozen elementary schools across the US. Striving to incorporate language and culture into child education, add.a.lingua is in our corner when it comes to spreading the word on the importance (and fun!) of learning different languages and the cultures of others. We are ecstatic about this organization’s work and our shared passions in creating a education landscape filled with various languages and cultures.

“It will take time for add.a.lingua to impact educational change through implementation of quality dual language immersion programs from the bottom up,” said add.a.lingua co-founder Stacey Vandenbosch. “Working together, it’s my hope that we can help transform the monolingual U.S. ecosystem through education seeking to ‘add.a.language.’”

Our linguistic allies have designed two fantastic t-shirts to help us out even further! All of the proceeds will benefit our mission to spread language learning to students from around the world. And add.a.lingua will even send an extra dollar our way if you share your love for your new tee on Twitter or Facebook using the #addalanguage!

“We’re humbled to be selected by add.a.lingua to receive the proceeds from the add.a.language campaign,” said SLE founder and executive director Amelia Friedman. “Stacey and the team at add.a.lingua have a powerful vision for how language education can impact young lives, and we’re grateful to play a small part in that vision.”

Vandenbosch and her team are excited to help and strengthen each of our missions through this partnership.

“As I view it, the work SLE is doing will help reach the students who never had the opportunity to participate in quality dual language immersion educational programs,” said Vandenbosch. “Our mutual goal involves preparing all students to face the global war for talent. Supporting the efforts of SLE now, as we pour energy into attainment of that end, allows us to contribute in a very small way to the important work you are doing.”
